RTI for ESOL Students

 

 

The RTI process for ESOL students can be challenging. The RTI team must be able to differentiate between a learning issue and a language issue.  Below are some links to websites and documents that can be used as guides to help you to determine when an ESOL student may need to go through the tiers and possibly be tested for special education services. Remember, ESOL students cannot be placed in Special Education soley  because they are having language difficulties.
