Mainstream Teacher Responsibilities

 

 

• Collaborate with the ESOL teacher about all ESOL students in your classroom

• Maintain records (proof) that all ESOL accommodations are being met in your room (ie. keeping a testing folder of tests for each child etc).

• Send the ESOL progress reports once per report period to let the ESOL teacher know the progress of each ESOL student in your classroom

• Contact the ESOL teacher if you have an ESOL student failing to find out what you can do to help  that student become more successful

• Provide the ESOL students in your class with accommodations as needed per the accommodation plans provided

• Be familiar with ESOL laws and standards
