Administrator Responsibilities
for ESOL Students

Ensure that the staff receives training as needed from your ESOL teacher regarding ESOL policies

Allow the ESOL teacher to provide ESOL inservices as needed

Ensure staff is aware of the district policies as well as state and federal laws regarding retention of ESOL students

Be sure staff is following accommodation plans set up by the ESOL teachers

Be sure mainstream teachers are aware that they are to keep a file to show evidence they are providing accommodations to the ESOL students.

Be supportive of mainstream teachers who have ELL students
